Selected workSix pieces

Films and launches for products that are hard to explain.

Six pieces from Simpplr, LambdaTest and eyes³. Each one had a hard brief: a new AI feature, a yearly update, a product nobody had seen yet.

How I work with AIThree stages

AI is in the pipeline, not in the credits.

  1. 1 · Generate

    On-brand footage instead of stock

On-brand generated video instead of generic stock.

    • Seedance
    • Veo
    • Firefly
  2. 2 · Direct

    A context-prompting method

Brand and shot context, written once and refined every run.

    • Structured briefs
    • Style frames
    • Iteration logs
  3. 3 · Build

    Tools where the gaps are

Claude for tools, Recraft for vectors, Figma Make for UI.

    • Claude
    • Recraft
    • Figma Make
    • Stitch

The craft is still the craft. The tools just moved.

How I make a filmSix stages

Design the film first, then animate it.

The thinking happens early, while changes are cheap, so the expensive part, animation, happens once.

  1. Start with the script

Every film starts as words. I trim until each line does one job.

    • Script
    • Outline
  2. Align with stakeholders

Before any design, I agree who the film is for and what they should remember.

    • Brief
    • Stakeholders
  3. Collect references, then ideas

I gather references, then pile up rough ideas fast. AI widens the first round.

    • References
    • Idea board
    • AI ideation
  4. Design every scene in Figma

Key scenes at full fidelity with real product UI, so feedback is about the idea.

    • Figma
    • Hi-fi frames
  5. Animate the same file in After Effects

The approved frames move into After Effects as they are. What was signed off is what moves.

    • After Effects
    • AI-generated video
  6. Sound, edit and finish

Sound, music and voice timed to the motion, then the final edit and exports.

    • Sound design
    • Edit
    • Export

What stays mine

The story, the structure and every frame I sign.

How I work with AI
How I tell the storyWith UX in mind

Story is UX with a timeline.

A viewer can't click back or skim ahead. So I design a film like an interface: one clear path, and a reason for every scene.

Five beats. Each one answers a question the viewer is already asking.

  1. 01 · Hook

    “Why should I care?”

Open on the result or the problem, straight away.

  2. 02 · Problem

    “Is this about me?”

A situation they recognise, in real product screens.

  3. 03 · Product

    “How does it work?”

The product doing the job, one step at a time.

  4. 04 · Proof

    “Can I trust it?”

Real UI, a real result or a number.

  5. 05 · Next step

    “What do I do now?”

    End on one clear action.

Six rules I design every scene to

  • One idea per scene

Needs two sentences? Make it two scenes.

  • Show, then say

The visual lands first. The words confirm it.

  • Guide the eye

Scale and contrast point at what matters.

  • Keep their place

Things move from where they were to where they go.

  • Pace for reading

Hold long enough to read. Speed up the rest.

  • Works on mute

Visuals and captions carry the story.

If a viewer has to work to follow it, it isn't finished.

Point of view

What I believe about motion, now.

  • I use motion to explain software faster than words can.

  • I design for the person in a hurry, so they always know what just happened and what to do next.

  • Accessibility comes first, not last. Reduced motion, contrast and focus are built in from the start.

  • If an animation doesn’t answer a question, I cut it.

  • Motion is a system, not a mood, so the same things always move the same way.

  • The last ten percent is craft: small details, like a frame held a beat longer, that people can’t name but always feel.

Based in Bengaluru, working with teams anywhere.

I'm Prashant. I trained in motion design and communication at NID, spent seven years in B2B SaaS, and now run motion end to end at Simpplr: concept, style frames, animation, edit, grade and sound. Lately I spend as much time building the tools as using them.
